Sodium tauroglycocholate is a pharmaceutical excipient that is used as a base in topical formulations to provide viscosity and stability. It has been shown to reduce the effects of adenosine receptor antagonists on diabetic rats. Sodium taurocholate also has anti-cancer properties, such as inhibiting the growth of skin cancer cells.
