Sempervirine nitrate is a synthetic anticancer drug that has been shown to have anticancer activity against a number of organisms, including bacteria and fungi. Sempervirine nitrate inhibits the growth of tumor cells by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA. This drug also modulates circadian rhythm and stabilizes circadian oscillations, which may be beneficial in treating cancer patients with sleep disorders. Clinical studies have shown that sempervirine nitrate has anticancer activity against tumors in mice and humans.
