Soyasapogenol A is a soybean extract that is known to inhibit melanogenesis and has anti-cancer properties. It inhibits the activation of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) in response to lipopolysaccharide, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of NF-κB. Soyasapogenol A also inhibits the progression of chronic viral hepatitis by preventing the proliferation of virus-infected cells and decreasing inflammatory cytokines. The molecular weight of soyasapogenol A is 591.3 g/mol, with a purity >98%. This compound is structurally similar to other natural compounds such as bryostatin 1, cephalostatin 1, and epothilones B and D.
