Secretin Acetate is a synthetic peptide that is used to measure the sensitivity of an assay. It is an amide with a high affinity for human pancreatic cells. This peptide can be synthesized in a solid-phase synthesis and then labeled with goserelin acetate or goserelin. Secretin Acetate has been used to measure plasma samples for the presence of unlabeled immunoreactive histidine, which could indicate the presence of certain types of cancer cells.
