Descripción:Sylvestroside I is an iridoid compound found in plants of the family Gentianaceae. It has been shown to have anticancer activity in vivo and radical scavenging activities. In tumor cells, sylvestroside I has been shown to inhibit the expression of genes that regulate cell proliferation and induce apoptosis (programmed cell death). This compound also inhibits the growth of bacteria.
