Descripción:3-(Trimethylsilyl)-1-propanesulfonic acid sodium salt is a potential biomarker for the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and is used in kinetic data analysis. It has been shown to be a useful tool for measuring disease activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. 3-(Trimethylsilyl)-1-propanesulfonic acid sodium salt can be used to measure the protonation state of histidine residues on a protein, which can then be used to determine whether the protein is in an active or inactive state. This compound has also been found to be an effective tool for sample preparation prior to diagnostic analysis. 3-(Trimethylsilyl)-1-propanesulfonic acid sodium salt is also commonly used as an analytical chemistry reagent that can be used in diagnostic tests such as diagnosis of hepatitis C virus infections, detection of human papilloma virus, and detection of some types of cancers.
