Descripción:p-Toluenesulfonyl isocyanate (PTSA) is a reactive chemical that reacts with hydroxyl groups to form covalent bonds. It can be used as a cross-linking agent for polymers, sealant, or chemical ligation in the laboratory. PTSA also has potent inhibition of nucleophilic attack on aromatic rings and is therefore used as a reagent in organic synthesis. This compound can react with amines to produce N-sulfonylureas and N-sulfonylimines, which are used in pharmaceuticals and other synthetic reactions. PTSA is also used in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy to measure the impedance of metal electrodes.
