• Descripción: 1-Trimethylsilylpropyne is a functional group that is the reaction product of allyl carbonate and triflic acid. It has been used in polymer films for the production of polymers with aldimines, as well as to synthesize β-unsaturated ketones. 1-Trimethylsilylpropyne reacts with nucleophiles such as water vapor, acyl halides, or inorganic compounds to form an intermediate that undergoes nucleophilic attack. The trimethylsilyl group can be removed by treatment with trifluoroacetic acid or hydrolyzed by water vapor to form propene.
