It has been shown to have neurotrophic activity in vitro and in vivo and can be used for the treatment of conditions such as diabetic neuropathy or cancer tissues. 2,2,2-Trifluoroacetic acid 1-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)-2-[(3-methoxyphenyl)methylene]hydrazide also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
