Descripción:H-Thr-Ser-OH is a synthetic peptide that contains the amino acid sequence H-Thr-Ser-OH. It has been shown to have antitumor activity and antiangiogenic properties. This peptide was observed to destabilize protonated lysine residues in the tumor cell membrane, leading to increased permeability of the membrane and subsequent leakage of ions and water. The resulting cytotoxic environment leads to cancer cell death by apoptosis. HTSOH also inhibits tumor angiogenesis by inhibiting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) production. HTSOH is stable at physiological pH and has been crystallized with a resolution of 1.5 Å.
