Descripción:H-Tyr-Phe-OH is a peptide that is derived from the amino acid sequence of human epidermal growth factor and has been shown to inhibit HIV infection in vitro. H-Tyr-Phe-OH binds to the dna binding site on the protein gp120, which is essential for viral binding to cells and subsequent infection. The peptide has also been shown to bind to serum aminotransferase levels and produce an antibody response in humans. This peptide has biological properties that may be useful for treatment of many infectious diseases, such as hepatitis and HIV infection.
