• Descripción: 1-(2,4,5-Trihydroxyphenyl)butan-1-one is a chemoattractant protein that is involved in the inflammatory response. It has been shown to be a potent stimulator of neutrophil migration in maternal blood and also has anti-inflammatory properties. 1-(2,4,5-Trihydroxyphenyl)butan-1-one may function as an adjuvant by activating immune cells and inducing cytokine production. 1-(2,4,5-Trihydroxyphenyl)butan-1-one also functions as a cofactor for dopamine and dinucleotide phosphate activity in the central nervous system. This protein has inhibitory properties against various biological activities of pharmacological agents such as histamine release and vascular permeability. Studies have shown that this compound can be toxic to mice when administered at high doses.
