Tetraphenyl resorcinolbis(diphenylphosphate) is a chemical compound that has been used as a retardant in building materials. It reacts with calcium stearate, metal hydroxides and other compounds to form an insoluble precipitate. Tetraphenyl resorcinolbis(diphenylphosphate) forms oligomers when exposed to air and may be used as a component of microcapsules for controlled release of pharmaceuticals.
