Descripción

[1,2,4]Triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine (TP) is a donor of electrons that acts as an acceptor of protons in the reaction mechanism. It acts on cardiac cells by binding to adenosine receptors and has been shown to have the capacity to increase levels of retinoic acid in humans. TP also increases the transport of bilirubin, which may be due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with bilirubin. TP has been shown to have growth factor-like activities and can stimulate cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo. TP is also active against cancer cells and inflammatory diseases because it increases the efficiency of factor receptor activation.
