Descripción

Talaporfinsodium is a catheter-based drug delivery system that provides a treatment for conditions such as choroidal neovascularization, with the goal of stabilizing, reducing or preventing the progression of these types of eye diseases. Talaporfinsodium is injected into the vitreous humor, which acts as a reservoir for the drug and slowly releases it over time. The talaporfin sodium is released through a diffusion process that takes place in all directions from the injection site. This drug has been shown to be effective against syndromes such as acute coronary syndrome and ophthalmic disorders, including chronic non-infectious anterior uveitis, posterior uveitis and iritis.
