6,2',4'-Trimethoxyflavone is a naturally occurring flavonoid found in plants. It is an active form of 6,2',4'-trimethoxyindirubin-3′-oxime (E804) and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in cultured cells. 6,2',4'-Trimethoxyflavone has been used to treat chronic kidney disease and inflammatory diseases such as cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. The mechanism of action for this drug is not well understood but it appears to have an effect on cellularity, collagen production and inflammation.
