2,3,4-Trimethylpentane is an organic compound that is a reaction product of dimethyl ether and trimethyl carbonate. It has been shown to be toxic to rat hepatocytes in vitro. 2,3,4-Trimethylpentane has also been shown to have high viscosity in the range of 10-50 cP at 20 °C. It is soluble in water and its solubility increases with increasing temperature. This compound is a monocarboxylic acid with a molecular weight of 122 g/mol. 2,3,4-Trimethylpentane can cause skin cancer and may have carcinogenic effects on covid-19 pandemic patients.
2,3,4-Trimethylpentane can react with ozone to form volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde (HCHO), acetaldehyde (CH2O), and propionaldehyde (CH3CO). These VOCs
