Descripción:5-(Trifluoromethyl)cytidine is a reactive chemical that can be detected by transcription, translation, and react probes. It has been shown to react with acid halides and carboxylic groups, which can shift the equilibrium in favor of the reaction product. This chemical is also an antitumor agent that exerts its antitumor activity through inhibition of DNA synthesis at the G1 phase of the cell cycle. 5-(Trifluoromethyl)cytidine was used as a probe for detection of RNA polymerase II in calf thymus DNA.
