Descripción

Tetramethylpiperidine is a ligand that binds to primary alcohols. It stabilizes hydrogen peroxide and magnetic nanoparticles in liquid phase, which has been shown to have anticancer activity against lymphocytic leukemia. Tetramethylpiperidine can also be used as an analog for piperidone, where it binds to the proton of the molecule with similar stability. Tetramethylpiperidine has been shown to interact with both diols and diamines, which suggests that it may have some effect on heart function.
