Descripción:Thallium(I) acetylacetonate (Tl(acac)) can be synthesized by reacting chloroform with thallium oxide in the presence of acetic acid. This chemical is a stable complex with methylene, which is an important intermediate for organic synthesis. Tl(acac) has been shown to react electrochemically with chloride and styrene to produce reactive chlorine species. The X-ray crystal structure of Tl(acac) has been determined.
