Tetrahydrothiophene is a reactive compound that contains four hydrogens and one sulfur atom. It can be synthesized by reacting sodium salts with tetrahydrothiophene. Tetrahydrothiophene has been shown to have a high binding constant for water vapor, indicating that it could potentially be used in the development of water-vapor-sensitive materials.
