3-Thujanone is a natural compound derived from the essential oil of Thymus vulgaris. It has been shown to inhibit soybean lipoxygenase, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids. 3-Thujanone is a potential agent for cancer treatment due to its ability to inhibit tumor growth and proliferation.
