Información del producto
- 2,4,6-Tribrompyridin
- Pyridine, 2,4,6-Tribromo-
2,4,6-Tribromopyridine is a pyridinium compound that has been used in the synthesis of polymers. It can be used as a ligand to coordinate metal ions and form cyclic complexes. 2,4,6-Tribromopyridine can also be used to synthesize copolymers with other monomers such as styrene and vinyl acetate. The complex formed by 2,4,6-tribromopyridine with copper(II) ions is a well-known model system for coordination chemistry. The trisubstituted ring of this molecule provides three reactive sites for further reactions.
2,4,6-Tribromopyridine has been shown to catalyze the reduction of piperidine to 1-phenylpiperazine through reaction rate measurements in voltammetry experiments.
