Descripción:2-(Thiocyanatomethylthio)benzothiazole is a model system that has been shown to react with the cell nuclei polymerase chain reaction (PCR) by binding to the ribosome. This binding inhibits enzyme activity and prevents the transcription of DNA into RNA. The drug also inhibits infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis, by inhibiting bacterial growth. 2-(Thiocyanatomethylthio)benzothiazole has been shown to have sublethal doses in mice and shows no observable effects on body mass index or wastewater treatment. It is a synthetic organic compound that can be used for the treatment of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
