Triglyme is a glycol ether that is used as a solvent. It can be used to extract aromatic hydrocarbons from coal tar, and it can also be used in the production of polyurethanes. Triglyme has been shown to have excellent thermal stability, which allows for its use in high-temperature applications. Triglyme has been shown to have good solubility in water, but not in other solvents.
