3-(Trifluoromethyl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid is a low molecular weight acid compound that contains a carboxylic acid group. The compound is soluble in water and organic solvents such as chloroform and benzene, has a melting point of -53°C, and has a molecular weight of 154.2 g/mol. 3-(Trifluoromethyl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid can be used for the synthesis of other compounds with a low molecular weight, such as trifluoromethoxybenzene, methoxybenzene, triazole, and imidazole. It can also be used to synthesize nitrobenzene by reacting with chlorine gas in the presence of an alkali hydroxide or carbonate solution.
