• Descripción: Trimethylamine borane is a monoclonal antibody that was developed to target the epidermal growth factor receptor. Trimethylamine borane binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor, which is found in high concentrations on many types of cancer cells. This binding blocks the growth of these cancer cells by interfering with their ability to produce new DNA and RNA. The molecule has been shown to have no significant effect on healthy mammalian tissue, such as human skin and breast tissue. Trimethylamine borane has also been shown to be effective against some types of autoimmune diseases.
