1-(Trimethylsilyloxy)cyclopentene is an organic compound that belongs to the class of substituted ethylenes. It is a nucleophilic reagent that reacts with electrophiles such as enolate, epoxide, and oxirane, and is commonly used in organic synthesis. 1-(Trimethylsilyloxy)cyclopentene has been shown to be efficient in the transformation of a variety of substituted methylbenzenes into their corresponding trioxanes.
