Triphenylantimony diacetate is a cross-coupling agent that is used in the synthesis of nanotubes. It has also been used to synthesize microspheres and multi-walled carbon nanotubes. Triphenylantimony diacetate reacts with alkynylsilanes to produce chemiluminescent products. The yield of this reaction can be improved by using a halide as the electrophile instead of an alkyne. Triphenylantimony diacetate can be used as a cross-linking agent for particle synthesis, such as those made from ruthenium complex.
