- 1-(tripropan-2-ylsilyl)-1H-pyrrole
1-(Triisopropylsilyl)pyrrole is a synthetic reaction product that has been shown to react with chlorides in a regiospecific, stereoselective manner. The reaction between 1-(triisopropylsilyl)pyrrole and chloromethane was found to be the most efficient method for the synthesis of this compound. Kinetic studies have indicated that the reaction is reversible and proceeds via an SN2 mechanism. This reaction is thought to proceed via an S N 2 mechanism, which is reversible.
