Descripción:
4-(Trifluoromethyl)benzamide (TFMB) is a functional group that has been used in the synthesis of aryl chlorides. TFMB has also been found to be an agonist of metabotropic glutamate receptor (mGluR2/3) in wild-type mice and can be used as a tool to study the role of mGluRs in neurodegenerative diseases. TFMB is not active against organic solutions containing amines, but it does show some enhancement activity in the presence of these compounds.
