• Descripción: Trans-3,4,5,4'-tetramethoxystilbene is a potential anti-cancer drug that inhibits the growth of prostate cancer cells. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of cytochrome P450 enzymes and induce apoptosis in prostate cancer cells. Trans-3,4,5,4'-tetramethoxystilbene also has an inhibitory effect on angiogenesis and induces apoptosis in breast cancer cells. This compound is not readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and has low bioavailability due to its chemical properties. Trans-3,4,5,4'-tetramethoxystilbene binds to DNA and inhibits transcription by competitive inhibition of RNA polymerase II and III.
