Taraxasterol acetate is a sesquiterpene lactone that has shown anti-inflammatory activity and inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines. It also possesses antifungal activity against various fungi, such as Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger. Taraxasterol acetate can be used for the treatment of infectious diseases, as well as for the prevention of inflammation. These enzyme interactions prevent the production of pro-inflammatory molecules and cytokines, which are substances that trigger an immune response.
