Descripción:4-Toluanilide is a compound that belongs to the aminocarbonylation class of compounds. The reaction mechanism involves the formation of a nitroso intermediate, which reacts with an amine to form an imine. This imine is then reduced by desulfurization to form the desired product. 4-Toluanilide has been shown to have anticancer activity in animal models and can be used as a potential drug for cancer therapy. It also has anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit the production of prostaglandins. 4-Toluanilide is not metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes, so it does not induce or inhibit other drugs metabolized by this system. The bioassay data indicate that 4-toluanilide binds tightly to copper ions and immobilized amines, but not clickable amines.
