Descripción:4-Toluic hydrazide (4TH) is a pyrazole derivative that has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro. 4TH inhibits the growth of cells by binding to epidermal growth factor (EGF), preventing EGF from binding to its receptor, thereby inhibiting the activation of downstream signalling pathways. 4TH also inhibits the proliferation of tumour cell lines and induces apoptosis in prostate cancer cells. These effects are due to inhibition of mitogen-activated protein kinase and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase pathways, which are important for cell division. The molecular docking analysis revealed that 4TH binds to EGF with an inhibition potential of 98%.
