Descripción

Tetrahydrocoptisine is a natural product that can be isolated from the roots of Coptis chinensis. Tetrahydrocoptisine has been shown to have receptor activity and signal pathways, such as the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). It also displays anti-inflammatory activity and has been shown to reduce neuronal death in an experimental model. This compound may play a role in energy metabolism by affecting mitochondrial function.
