TNBT Diformazan is a natural product that is found in the roots of plants such as maitake, shiitake, and reishi mushrooms. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth rate of bacteria by binding to ribosomes and inhibiting protein synthesis. TNBT Diformazan binds to the acidic amino acids of the ribosome, preventing their interaction with tRNA molecules during protein synthesis. This product also has a modulating effect on cellular cassettes that are homologous with those in plant cells.
