Información del producto
- Benzenemethanethiol, 2,4,6-Trimethoxy-
- (2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl) methanethiol
(2,4,6-Trimethoxyphenyl) methanethiol is a nucleophile that reacts with the electrophilic carbonyl group of trifluoroacetic acid to form an unstable intermediate. This intermediate can then react with guanosine or adenosine to form a stable 2,4,6-trimethoxyphenylguanine or 2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyladenosine. The nucleophilic addition of the nucleophile to the electrophilic carbonyl group is facilitated by alkaline hydrolysis. Uncatalyzed reactions are slow and require long reaction times. Alkanethiols and disulfides can catalyze this reaction.
