Descripción:
5,10,15,20-Tetrakis(4-fluorophenyl)-21H,23H-porphyrin (FTP) is a porphyrin with a dipole moment that can be used as a sensor. It functions by absorbing light in the visible region and emitting light in the near infrared region. The energy of the emitted light is proportional to the change in oxidation state of the porphyrin. The FTP molecule has been optimized for use as a sensor for food products by adjusting its constants and using time-dependent theory to calculate its colorimetric response. It is also used as an analytical tool to determine equilibrium constants.
