1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5,5-Undecafluoropentane-1-sulfonyl fluoride (UFPSF) is an ionizable organic solvent that has been used as a hydrogen fluoride additive in reaction solutions. It is also used in the production of fluorine and sulfones. UFPSF is a strong electrolyte with a high dielectric constant that can be used to screen for amines. The hydrogens of UFPSF are more reactive than those of other hydrogen halides because they have only one electron occupying the s orbital instead of two electrons.
