Descripción

Epsilon-viniferin is a natural compound that belongs to the group of polyphenols. It has been found to have antimicrobial properties, as well as physiological effects on humans. Epsilon-viniferin has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by preventing mitochondrial membrane potential and inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria. Epsilon-viniferin also inhibits the activity of toll-like receptor 4 and reduces inflammation, which may be due to its ability to suppress proinflammatory cytokines. Epsilon-viniferin is metabolized in humans by CYP3A4, leading to drug interactions with other drugs metabolized by this enzyme.
