D-Valine methyl ester hydrochloride is a synthetic cannabinoid that binds to the CB2 receptor. It is an enantiomer of MDMB-CHMICA, which has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of influenza virus replication. D-Valine methyl ester hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids in cells infected with viruses. The activity of d-valine methyl ester hydrochloride as an antiviral agent is due to its ability to form acid conjugates with amino acids and amines, which are necessary for protein synthesis.
