The polymerized form of 2-vinylnaphthalene has high resistance to photochemical degradation, and exhibits fluorescence properties with excitation at 350 nm.2-Vinylnaphthalene has also been studied as a model system for the study of ionizing radiation, where it was found to exhibit high activation energies for decomposition reactions.
