Bis(2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethyl) adipate is a substrate film that has functional groups such as carboxyl and hydroxyl. It is used in coatings, with a diameter of 1.5 μm to 5 μm. The osmotic pressure of Bis(2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethyl) adipate is acidic and it can be used in chromatographic science. This monomer polymerizes to form polycarboxylic acid and cellulose acetate, which are biodegradable, and calcium carbonate, which is not biodegradable. Bis(2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethyl) adipate has optical properties such as transmittance and refractive index, and it also has water vapor profiles.
