Z-Val-Ome is a synthetic peptide hormone that has been shown to interact with the sulfoxide and amide groups of the receptor. It is a tripeptide composed of three amino acids: valine, omithine, and methionine. Z-Val-Ome has been shown to have chemists for laborious or difficult childbirth, as well as for the treatment of menopause. The molecule is five-membered due to its sulfur atom.
