9-Azajulolidine is an organic compound that is a ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) catalyst. It inhibits tumor cells and has been shown to be effective in the treatment of various types of cancer. 9-Azajulolidine has been shown to inhibit the transfer reactions of epoxides, which are important in the formation of polymers. The inhibition of these reactions prevents polymers from forming, which is important for maintaining healthy cells. 9-Azajulolidine also acts as an organocatalyst and can be used during ternary complex formation, as well as a reaction rate accelerator for rapamycin analogs.
