N1-(4-Nitrophenyl)benzene-1,4-diamine is a reactive molecule that belongs to the class of diamines. It is used as a reagent in FTIR spectroscopy and as a precursor for N2-(4-nitrophenyl)benzene-1,3-diamine. This compound has been shown to be metabolized to ornithine and aminobenzene in human liver microsomes. N1-(4-Nitrophenyl)benzene-1,4-diamine has also been shown to be an inhibitor of CDK4/6. Gravimetric analysis has been used to measure the amount of this compound in urine samples, where it was found to have a molecular weight of 190.5 g/mol.
