It has been shown to inhibit phosphatase activity in the presence of monoclonal antibodies, which is an indicator for cancerous cells. Benzothiazol-2-yl-(4-ethoxy-phenyl)-amine may be used as a diagnostic marker for determining the presence of cancer cells in patients with infectious diseases, such as HIV/AIDS.
