Ω-Muricholic acid-d5 is a natural compound that belongs to the group of bile acids and has been shown to have physiological effects in the treatment of bowel disease. Ω-Muricholic acid-d5 is an analogue of chenodeoxycholic acid, a bile acid that can be synthesized from cholesterol. Ω-Muricholic acid-d5 is used in animal studies as a potential therapy for chronic liver diseases, such as primary biliary cirrhosis and primary sclerosing cholangitis.
