Descripción:CX08005 is a phosphatase inhibitor that has been shown to increase the activity of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC). CX08005 is orally bioavailable and can be taken as a single dose. The enzyme ACC plays an important role in the regulation of lipid metabolism, since it catalyzes the conversion of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA. The increased activity of ACC leads to an increase in the synthesis of malonyl-CoA, which increases fatty acid oxidation in muscle cells. This may lead to improved insulin resistance and insulin sensitivity in women with type 2 diabetes, which is characterized by increased levels of glucose and decreased levels of insulin.
